The MA Photography programme at Kingston School of Art supports the exploration of expanded photographic practices that engage with contemporary urgencies, personal narratives, and wider societal concerns. This exhibition presents a diverse body of work by Masters students whose projects challenge, question, and reimagine the role of the image in today's world.
Working across photography, moving image, installation, publishing, performance, archival research, and interdisciplinary forms, the exhibiting artists address a range of personal, social, political, and environmental issues. Their projects explore themes of identity, place, access and land rights, technology, and transformation, reflecting the breadth and vitality of contemporary photographic practice.
Celebrating experimentation, critical inquiry, and creative development, the exhibition showcases work that is both conceptually ambitious and materially inventive. Together, these projects demonstrate photography's potential not only as a medium of representation, but also as a catalyst for reflection, dialogue, and change.
