Opening Event
4 December 2025 18.00 - 21.00
Opening December 4th at the Handbag Factory, Vauxhall, this exhibition features new works that imagine a peaceful post-anthropocentric world in the year 2065 — or reflect the urgent dystopia of now from this future.
Artists include both emerging and established practitioners working across installation, sculpture, moving image, sound and performance. All participants responded to an open call and took part in a series of in-depth workshops focused on collaborative thinking, ecological ethics, and speculative futures.
Curatorial theme:
In 2065, humans are no longer at the centre. Other natures — including animals once farmed, microbes, soil, rivers, fungi, forests — are respected, honoured, and protected. SEED_2065 asks: What will such a future look like and how will it look back on the present?
